# How and When To Use Refresh and Hard Reload Options

| **Refresh and Hard Reload** are both options which you can use to fix and mitigate rare issues which might occur with your 24/7 Livestream. Each option has its own process and fixes issues in a different way.

# How can I find these options?

You can find these options by clicking on the " **More Actions** " button while in the **Edit** screen of your stream.

# What does "Refresh" do?

The Refresh option refreshes the elements in the stream canvas. Elements such as **browser overlays**, **text elements**, **rectangles**, **pictures**, **videos and running radio streams**.
This option should be used when the stream elements are not behaving as they should, for example, the text element did not update after clicking on **Save Changes**.

# What does "Hard Reload" do?

The Hard Reload option is **more aggressive**, as it restarts your stream server from scratch. The service might lose connection to the stream for a very short moment but it will not stop the stream. This option should be used if you encounter any kind of **very unusual abnormalities **with your stream.
