# How To Add A Secondary Audio Channel

# Secondary audio channel for seamless audio loops

For atmospheric background sounds, you need seamless playback / looping, without a click or a silence when the loop restarts. **Secondary Audio Channel** was made exactly for that.

If your files are seamless atmospheric files, like fire crackling, wind blowing, stream running, rain sounds - you should assign them to the secondary audio channel.

|| Any files added to the secondary audio channel will loop on top of your primary audio files, seamlessly

## 1. Go To Your Streams List In Your Upstream Dashboard
 You can click here to open your [Upstream Dashboard](https://upstream.so/stream)

## 2. Click "Edit" On Your Stream

## 3. Select Which Audio Files To Put In the Secondary Channel
Scroll down and select which audio files in your playlist you would like to put in a separate secondary channel

## 4. Move To the Secondary Channel

Underneath your audio queue will be a menu in which you can move your selected audio files into a secondary channel

| You can see which files are in a secondary channel just by looking at their background, secondary channel audio files have a darker background

## 5. Save Changes

Save your changes by clicking the button on the top right of the website
