Team Access: Working in Teams

What is Team Access

Team Access allows you to collaborate with others on your Upstream account without sharing passwords or logging in and out. You can invite team members and assign them specific permission levels based on their role. Team Access is available on all Upstream plans (Lite, Basic, Plus, and Pro) at no additional cost.

How to Invite Team Members

  1. Log in to your Upstream dashboard
  2. Open the main menu
  3. Click on your name / Your Account (bottom left)
  4. Click on Manage Access to access Team Access Management
  5. Enter your team member's email address into the Invite User section
  6. Select their permission level (View Only, Moderator, or Manager)
  7. Send the invitation

They'll receive an email invite to join your team. Once they accept, they can use their own login credentials and switch to working in your account, based on the permissions you've set.

Note: You can only invite people who already signed up for Upstream. Let your colleagues know that they need to sign up before you can add them.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Can I invite someone who doesn't have an Upstream account yet?

No, team members must already have their own Upstream account before you can invite them. Ask your colleagues to sign up at Upstream first, then you'll be able to send them an invitation to join your team.

Is there a limit to how many team members I can invite?

No - any team size is supported.

What happens to a team member's work if I remove them from my account?

When you revoke someone's access, they immediately lose the ability to view or modify anything in your account. Of course, any content they uploaded or changes they made while they had access will remain in your account. They'll still have access to their own personal Upstream account, but it will not be linked to your account in any way.

Can a Moderator see my billing information?

No, only Managers can view and change billing settings. Moderators and View Only users cannot access any billing information or make changes to your account subscription.
