How To Live Stream 24/7 On A Custom RTMP Server

You might have wondered "How can I stream on a specific platform if its not in the the built-in platforms selection?" If you planning on streaming on a service that is not on the list, or you even have your own RTMP server, follow the upcoming guide about it

1. Find Your RTMP URL



Your RTMP URL would look like " rtmp://livestreamservice.example/example / " in most cases, if you cannot find it, ask your Stream Service provider, or look into the advanced settings if applicable. The RTMP link serves as the domain of the livestream.

2. Find Your Stream Key



Your Stream Key should be on the same page as your RTMP URL, in most cases, they are right next to each other. The Stream Key servers as your authentication and should be kept private and should never be shared with anyone.

3. Go To Your Upstream Dashboard and create a new live stream



You can click here to open your Upstream Dashboard, in this case we will be creating a new live stream from start, if you already have a stream in your dashboard, simply click on "Settings"



4. Select "Other" As Platform





5. Paste Your Information



Paste your RTMP URL and Stream Key into each of their own corresponding fields, then save your settings


6. After submitting the information, click on "Create Stream" at the bottom
