An RTMP key (Real-Time Messaging Protocol key) is a unique code used to identify and connect your streaming software (like Upstream or OBS) to a live streaming platform (like YouTube, Facebook, or Twitch). It acts like a password to ensure your stream goes to the correct channel.
How to use it:
Go to your streaming platform’s live dashboard.
Copy the Stream Key and/or RTMP Key).
Paste it into Upstream under “Settings, on the main dashboard
Click “Start” in Upstream to go live.
Important: Keep your RTMP key private—anyone with it can stream to your channel.
